Busted Goals
It is Goal Setting season.
For a lot of advisors, goal setting is very painful and easier to just avoid.
As the old saying goes: Don't get caught driving East to catch a sunset!
I have taught many of you my Resilient OKR System.
Unfortunately, it has failed with some and begs the important question: WHY?
I have landed on the simplest explanation. Just like portfolio management, financial planning and client communication...goal setting need to be customized for each advisor for the best results.

If you work best with radical simplicity, consider the approach Earl Nightingale used to teach called The Goal Card. It is as simple as it sounds. Determine your goal(s) for the next 30 or 90 days and put it on a card that you carry around with you. Could it get any simpler?
