OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) have been used at high performing companies since the late 1960's as a leadership and goal setting system. They originated from Intel's Andy Grove as he modified Peter Drucker's MBO (Management By Objectives) framework. John Doeer of Kliner Perkins has been the C-Suite champion of the OKR system and wrote a fantastic book on the subject called 'Measure What Matters.' I highly recommend picking up a copy if you think OKR's could make sense for your practice.
